Food at CCRMA
CCRMA loves food! Stay hydrated!
Many of our public events conclude with a small reception in the
Lounge. Many people use the Kitchenette to store and heat food and
beverages. Also restaurant and other food is often picked up or
delivered.
CCRMA Food Resources
CCRMA provides many shared resources for you to eat food here:
- Beautiful patio and lounge seating
- Refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, coffee makers
- A sink and dish draining rack where you can wash dishes
- A tiny bit of free counter space for food preparation
- Filtered hot and room temperature water (little spigot to left of
sink faucet)
- Filtered ice and cold water (door of refrigerator)
- Water fountains (next to the third floor bathrooms)
- Reusable plates, bowls, cups, silverware, serving utensils, serving
bowls…
- A closet full of napkins, paper plates, plastic silverware, plastic
cups…
CCRMA Food Responsibilities
When you eat food here, please:
- Refuse disposable forks, cups, napkins… We have nicer (not plastic)
versions of all that, along with excess disposable items that tend to
accumulate
- Also refuse the little packets of ketchup, soy sauce, parmesan
cheese, red chili flakes, etc. We have lots of that from past deliveries
plus we stock various condiments in regular size containers.
- Favor reusable dishes, cups, silverware, etc.
- Always wash your dishes. While you’re at it why not
tidy up a little more too?
- If you have leftover disposable items please store them in the
proper bins and shelves in the Kitchenette closet.
- Responsibly recycle your
discarded items. In particular remove
food residue from plastic you wish to recycle and don’t
try to recycle greasy or food-contaminated paper
- Take out the trash (to the dumpster in the parking area out back)
and/or recycling (leaving it bagged next to the black paper recycling
bin in front of the Garage) if you’re close to filling it.
- Label any food you put in the fridge either “free” or with your name
and the date.
- Leave the Kitchenette at least as clean as you found it.
Ballroom Snack Counter
There’s also a self-service candy and snack bar in the Ballroom.
